End your day with a steak or seafood on the grill. While sounds of the river and the breath taking mountain views soothes you, roast some marshmallows or smores around the campfire. Take in the beautiful sunsets with the geese and ducks flying in for the evening.

The Shenandoah National Park/Skyline Drive and the George Washington National Forest is a wonderful way to view the Virginia wildlife only 10 minutes away. Massanutten Resort “A Four Seasons Resort” and the Massanutten WaterPark are only 10 minutes away all other attractions are approximately 12 to 20 minutes. We look forward to your visit and hope you enjoy your stay with us!

Two deep water boat docks in front of the home, Four plasma T.V.’s, private river access in the front of the home.

From the time we booked "A Above the River Cabin" to the moment we rounded the bend in the gravel road and the cabin came into sight we knew we had chosen the perfect spot. What a beautiful cabin nestled in the woods between the river and pasture but yet closed to so many attractions and amenities. From seclusion and privacy to Luray Caverns and Super Walmart to many close by towns and wineries and cradled in the Blue Ridge mountains it was near perfect. The beautiful interior décor and lay out of the cabin to everything a couple or family would need to have a wonderful vacation. Tucked into to nature and it's surrounding with little intrusion. From relaxing and de-stressing to sightseeing the area, from the cows in the pasture and deer that came to visit to the bear across the river and the bald eagle that came to fish with us on a couple of occasions. To enjoying the outdoor fire pit to spending the day fishing for sunfish in the "honey hole" just off the left side of the dock, to catching catfish, carp and small mouth bass and to the lone coyote who visited the river one night to howl as if to let us know he loved the property "A Above The River Cabin" also. There is so much to do surrounding this cabin and there is so little to do surrounding this cabin all depending on your frame of mind. The "A Above The River Cabin" seems to present itself as a place to relax, take a load off your feet, get back to really "vacationing", surround yourself with loved ones, and calm your soul. Many thanks to Becky and her husband for not only creating such a beautiful place but to allowing others into this "Slice of Nature" and creating our own memories.

It was great to see that the Above the River Cabin looked every bit as good as it did in the listing description. The cabin was clean and tidy and the owner was very helpful in the lead up to.our stay and was on hand if.we needed help. All the.amenities were provided for. BBQ in the evenings, relaxing in the hot tub and sitting on the porch chatting about our day over a class of locally made wine at night. Enjoyed sunbathing, canoeing and fishing on the Shenandoah river. There are.plenty of interesting places to see.and visit. Highlights include: museums and shops Monticello, Stanton, New Market, the Skyline Drive, Shenandoah Speedway and Dan's Steakhouse to mention.only a few. And DC is only an hour and half.drive away. All in all.my wife, two boys and I.had a fantastic two weeks! I reccomend thins cabin to anyone who wishes to enjoy not only the relaxing atmosphere of this location but to anybody who wishes to visit the wonderful sites, towns and play we.of interest in this part of Virginia.

Wonderful stay for my family. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. All the included amenities was very nice.... linens, towels, basic toiletries. The kitchen is very well stocked. The area by the river, the fire pit/backyard was very well maintained. My boys played outside for hours. It was the perfect getaway, we will certainly be back.

I have stayed in numerous cabins and I must say this is one of the best ones I've stayed in. It very well kept, great interior design, and very new like. It had everything you needed, and everything you didn't know you needed until you needed it. Loved the back deck and private access to the river. Already making plans to return.
