Our family had a fantastic time! The house is beautiful and well supplied with essentials for the stay. We enjoyed taking the canoe out. We also enjoyed Luray Caverns.

This is the second time I stayed in this wonderful home away from home, and my 3rd time is already scheduled. This time was the ladies' weekend. The house is big enough to spread out, and we felt pampered by all the effort that went into making the house welcoming. We spent time in the morning relaxing on the porch, reading, talking, and resting. In the afternoon we used the well-stocked kitchen and made wonderful, gourmet meals. In the evenings, we were back to the porch enjoying the hot tub and making s'mores. We did get out and about. I can recommend the Noon Whistle Pottery for a few mementos. It was exactly the weekend we needed.

A lovely home at a great location. We had 2 toddlers with us, so the railing around the beautiful deck with secure gates was wonderful. The kids could play outside without the grown ups worrying about them running off. We had a wonderful time in this lovely home.

We loved this place! We will go here every time we come to Shenendoah! Beautifully furnished, secluded, multiple docks, amazing deck with hot tub over-looking river. Excellent trip. 5 stars is an understatement.

Came here with a family with teenagers. We had a great time. Originally, we intended to use this place as a home base while we did other things around the area but instead just hung out and relaxed, using the canoes and kayaks to paddle up the river and enjoy ourselves. As someone else mentions in the comment section, there is a working train yard behind the house but there is minimal noise consisting of infrequent very slow moving trains. Any real noise comes from nature: ducks, cows (mooing across the river) and geese, making a hot tub experience at any hour very pleasant and bucolic. The owners are local and were very helpful and pleasant when we needed something. We would recommend this place!
